China Glaze White Cap

For today’s manicure I have White Cap from the Anchors Away collection. White cap is a sheer white polish with a gold shimmer. White Cap is nice and clean but still has a golden shimmer. Its absolutely gorgeous on its own but you can also layer it over pretty much everything.

This is two coats over a coat of China Glaze Ridge Filling base coat. I bet this would look fantastic layered over Starboard. What’s your favorite layering combo?

China Glaze Below Deck and Emotion

For today I have China Glaze Below Deck and Emotion. At first glance, you might not think they go together but I wanted to use the striping tape I just bought on Ebay so I gave it a whirl.

I polished all my fingers except the ring fingers with Below Deck and polished the ring fingers with Emotion. Once Emotion was dry, I used the tape to put three diagonal lines across the nail and covered with Below Deck. And voila!

I like both colors -Below Deck is a taupe-y purple that we’ve been seeing with just about every polish company the last year or so. Emotion is from the Romantique Collection and is a metallic rose shade. I would wear either on their own and I think they look nice together.

China Glaze Sea Spray

For today I have a Sea Spray manicure from the Spring’s Anchors Away collection. Sea Spray is a light blue leaning gray creme that is just beautiful. This type of color is right in my wheelhouse so I can definitely see myself wearing it again.

Sea Spray applied wonderfully but the slight shimmer that is in the bottle doesn’t appear on the nail. This is two coats with a top coat.

China Glaze Sunset Sail

So, today I have a job interview (wish me luck!) and I needed a neutral sort of polish. I picked Sunset Sail which is a nice peachy beige creme polish that I think is interview appropriate. Sunset Sail is from the Anchors Away collection from this past spring -can you tell I’m loving most of these colors?

This is two coats and one coat of topcoat. I read some reviews that say application is difficult but I didn’t have any issues -it went on nice and smooth, completely opaque at two coats.

Also, notice my super cute ring! I *may* have stopped at Sally’s after I left my interview and gotten it there. Do you know China Glaze is going to be on sale for $3.99 next month? Score!

China Glaze Starboard

Even though I’m not really a green person, I’m completely in love with Starboard- my husband even commented on how nice it is and he doesn’t usually notice my polishes! Its from the Spring Anchors Away collection. Its a true green creme polish. It looks really nice on and I think it goes well with my skin tone.

I used two coats of Starboard for this manicure and no top coat in the pictures -its that shiny on its own.

China Glaze Knotty

For today’s manicure I have China Glaze Knotty from the spring Anchors Away collection. Knotty is a sheer golden beige color with a light shimmer.

I really like this color because its nice and neutral but still sparkly. This is three coats because its super sheer and I still have visible nail lines.

China Glaze Ahoy!

Today I have China Glaze Ahoy! from the Anchors Away collection. Ahoy! is a raspberry pink color with glitter. I love shades like this and China Glaze does them really well. Its similar to Strawberry Fields but a darker pink.

Application was smooth, easy and just what I would expect from China Glaze. This is two coats with a top coat.

China Glaze Hey Sailor

Today I have the most awesome polish for you to take a look at. China Glaze Hey Sailor is part of this spring’s Anchors Away collection. Its a warm bright red that shouts “Look at me!”. I really can’t sing it’s praises enough. I love it and will definitely wear it again.

Hey Sailor is a solid red creme that just applies beautifully -it just kind of glides onto the nail. It could be a one coater but I used two in the pictures and no top coat. The only tiny issue I had was that it stained a little upon removal. But nothing major.
