Zoya Electra

Last but not least in the Ornate collection, I’m showcasing Zoya Electra. Electra is a glitter topcoat that has both silver bar glitter and holographic bar glitter. On their website, Zoya says that Electra can be worn alone but it would take a fair amount of coats to become opaque so I’m showing it as a topcoat over the others in the collection. Each photo uses one coat of Electra.

Zoya Aurora

Today I’m wearing Zoya Aurora from the Ornate collection. I’ve said it on previous posts and will say it again here, Zoya has absolutely knocked it out of the park with the Ornate collection. All of the colors are amazing and wear really really well, Aurora is no exception.

Aurora is a medium purple holographic polish that is so amazingly pretty. It covers well in two coats.

Zoya Blaze

I have found a new Zoya love and it’s Blaze. I wore Blaze for about a week with no chips. The Ornate collection is chock full of amazing polishes and Blaze is my current favorite.

Zoya describes Blaze as a cool-toned medium mulberry red with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter.  I see purple, pink, green and gold glitter when the light hits Blaze. I used two coats for this manicure and had no application issues.

This last one is not color accurate but its easier to see the glitter.

You Pick Thursday! China Glaze Rated Holographic

Picked for me by my readers, today I’m wearing China Glaze’s Rated Holographic.  I was lucky enough to find this one in a swap a month or so ago. I completely missed out on the OMG & Kaleidoscope collections because I wasn’t really collecting polishes during that time. I’m slightly sad over this really.

Rated holographic is a peachy pink holographic polish. I used three coats for this manicure because its more sheer than I would have expected.

These two are more color accurate, I used a flash to bring out the holographic goodness.

China Glaze Fireside Glow

Today I have the other Ulta Exclusive China Glaze -Fireside Glow. There are three of them but I only bought these two since Mistletoe Me looks exactly like Color Club Hot Like Lava from the Foiled set and I already have that one.

Fireside Glow is just simply lovely. Its a mix of orange and holographic glitter in a clear base. I put on three coats and it was completely opaque. The small downside is that Fireside Glow is a top coat eater. I put on three coats  before it was semi-smooth. I didn’t add another one (or two) because I wanted to eventually be able to take it off!

China Glaze Ultamate Holiday

Today’s manicure is China Glaze Ultamate Holiday from the Ulta Exclusive collection. I’m a complete sucker for China Glaze and the words “exclusive” and “limited edition”. They will get me to open my wallet every single time. Much to my husband’s chagrin.

Anywho, this one is absolutely lovely on the nail -I was a little concerned since it looks like glittery mustard in the bottle. While its still a mustard-y color of yellow on the nail, its chock full of holographic glitter and its a stunner on the nail. It applies really nicely and evenly -this is three coats.

Color Club Shabby Drab & Sugar Plum Fairy

Today’s manicure is Shabby Drab from the Color Club Back to Boho collection. Shabby drab is a purple creme polish. I’m a big fan of Color Club and their 0-60 topcoat is my absolute favorite but I was a little disappointed in Shabby Drab. It applied really streaky and I had to use three coats.

Since I have a crazy Saturday at work today, I needed a glitter pick-me-up. So I added a coat of Sugar Plum Fairy from the Beyond the Mistletoe Collection. I have to say, it looks really nice over the Shabby Drab. It almost makes me love Shabby Drab.

Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Shabby Drab is very VERY close to both Zoya Caitlin and Dr.’s Remedy Lovely. It may be a hair darker but definitely close enough that you don’t need all three -like I have. Oops.

You Pick Thursday! Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe

Today’s You Pick Thursday! manicure is Color Club’s Beyond the Mistletoe from the Beyond the Mistletoe Collection. Color Club’s parent company (Forsythe Cosmetics) also makes Funky Fingers, Finger Paints and Cosmetic Arts polishes. Funky Finger’s Baby Baby Baby is a dupe of this one.

Its a clear base with holographic glitter. This is two coats of Beyond the Mistletoe and two coats of top coat. Even though I’m loving how it looks, I’m also slightly afraid of trying to remove it.

Make sure you vote for next week’s choice!

China Glaze Cyberspace

Today’s manicure is Cyberspace from the Tronica collection. Cyberspace is a light beige holographic polish. Its definitely a more scattered holographic effect than a linear one. Cyberspace is definitely not the most holographic polish in the collection but its really nice for a workplace polish with a little but of sparkle.

This three coats since its more sheer than I had thought but it builds well. Unfortunately its been gray and rainy in North Carolina so I didn’t get any  awesome sunshine photos.

China Glaze Techno Teal

For today’s manicure I have another Tronica -Techno Teal. This is my first time wearing this polish but it certainly won’t be the last! I picked this polish to keep with my Teal Toes.

Techno Teal is a teal polish from the Tronica Collection -its most like DV8 from the OMG collection and is a scattered holographic polish. This is two fabulous coats with a base coat of China Glaze Ridge Filler (seriously the BEST base for the Tronicas!) and a top coat of Seche Vite.
