China Glaze Poetic

For today’s manicure I have China Glaze Poetic. This one is a metallic coppery pink -more copper than pink really. I like most of this collection and this polish doesn’t disappoint. I polished in a hurry so you can see brushstrokes more easily here than in the other posts. This is two coats.

I’ve shown you guys most of this collection by now and I have to say -if I wasn’t a big nerd and had all my polishes listed in a spreadsheet I would have NO idea which ones I’ve worn or what colors they are. The polishes all have names that aren’t (for me at least) easily linkable to the colors. Poetic = Copper? Magical = Gold? Cherish = Green? Suuuuure they do.

China Glaze Awaken

For today’s manicure I have Awaken from the Romantique collection. Awaken is a gunmetal gray shimmery metallic polish. Its a nice color that doesn’t venture too far into the black nails category. Black nails just don’t look good on me for some reason but this one is completely wearable.

Awaken applies like a dream and is completely opaque in one coat. One! How fantastic is that? And it dries quickly.

China Glaze Admire

Today’s manicure is Admire from the Romantique Collection. Its  a nice cool toned metallic pink. I’m really a pink kind of girl, so goes without saying that I like this one despite wearing all these Romantique shades one right after the last.

This is two coats with a top coat. I wore this manicure for two days without the slightest chip. If you like pink, metallic polish, or China Glaze then check this one out!

China Glaze Harmony

Today’s manicure is from China Glaze Romantique’s collection -one of the few I have left in this bet!- and its Harmony.  Harmony is an awesome purple metallic polish and its one of my favorites in the collection.

This is two coats and no top coat.

China Glaze Delight

Today’s manicure is China Glaze’s Delight from the Romantique Collection. This one is much better than the others in the collection application wise. Its a really nice coppery brown.

The first coat was slightly streaky but its perfect after two coats. This manicure lasted almost three days until I got bored enough and changed it.

China Glaze Admire

For today’s manicure I’m wearing Admire from the Romantique Collection. Its a rose pink metallic and its super pretty. I don’t know about wearing it as a solo polish since it shows ALL the ridges on my nails but definitely as a stamping polish. All the Romantique Collection is good for that.

This is two coats and a top coat. I like it and it wore crazy well -I actually wore if for multiple days and that rarely happens.

China Glaze Below Deck and Emotion

For today I have China Glaze Below Deck and Emotion. At first glance, you might not think they go together but I wanted to use the striping tape I just bought on Ebay so I gave it a whirl.

I polished all my fingers except the ring fingers with Below Deck and polished the ring fingers with Emotion. Once Emotion was dry, I used the tape to put three diagonal lines across the nail and covered with Below Deck. And voila!

I like both colors -Below Deck is a taupe-y purple that we’ve been seeing with just about every polish company the last year or so. Emotion is from the Romantique Collection and is a metallic rose shade. I would wear either on their own and I think they look nice together.

China Glaze Magical and Adore

For today’s manicure I have China Glaze Magical and Adore. They are both from the 2009 Romantique collection. If you aren’t familiar with this collection, there are two parts -warm and cool. All of the colors are frosty and metallic-y -which makes some polish lovers run away because of the brush strokes but they look so pretty in the bottle so I wanted to give them a whirl.

First up is Magical, its a pinkish taupe. I polished all my nails with one coat of this one and it covered well. I took my time so brush strokes wouldn’t be as noticeable but with metallic polishes you really can’t avoid them entirely.

After Magical dried, I taped off half my nails diagonally and added a coat of Adore. While I like either of the polishes by themselves, I’m not a huge fan of the end product.
